VISITOR VISA

Purpose – if you are not coming from the visa waiver country and your intention is to visit and explore New Zealand as a tourist or to visit family and friends. In your application you can include your partner, and dependent children aged 19 and under.

Important – with visitor visa you can study up to 3 months but you cannot work.

Length of stay – up to 9 months.

Visa processing fee – NZD $246. This is the fee which is payable to the Immigration New Zealand to process your application.

Receiving centre fees – if you are a holder of a passport of certain country and your application was lodged online, you must send your passport to the Visa Application Centre (VAC). The VAC will charge GBP £18 to receive and handle your passport. Courier fee is the fee for your passport to be returned to you if you do not arrange to collect it yourself. NZeTA – New Zealand electronic Travel Authority Visa

Purpose – some visitors, transit passengers on the way to another country or cruise ship passengers who intends to join the vessel in New Zealand can travel to the country without a visa if they get and NZeTA before they travel.

Eligibility – for the NZeTA visa can apply only passengers who are from the list of visa waiver or transit waiver countries or a permanent resident of Australia. If you are not from the visa waiver country, you must apply for the visitor visa.

STUDENT VISA

Purpose – if you intend to study in New Zealand more than 3 months you must apply for a student visa. Educational institutions in New Zealand offer a wide variety of programmes and after the completion of your studies you will gain an internationally recognized qualification.

Eligibility – to be able to obtain a student visa you must satisfy the following visa requirements:

  • Genuine Intention – you must genuinely intent to meet the conditions of your visa
  • Funds – you must have enough financial background to live on while you are in New Zealand
  • Offer of Place – you must have an Offer of Place from the approved/eligible education provider
  • Tuition Fees – you must have enough funds to pay your tuition fees unless you are exempt
  • Health & Character – you must be in good health and must be of good character
  • Medical & Travel Insurance – you must arrange full medical and travel insurance which covers the length of your stay in New Zealand.
